Photography Courses in Extremadura

Winter photography in Extremadura has not been exploited, it seems i am the sole wildlife photographer present here permanently throughout the year. December to March has temperatures around the mid to late teens, making sitting in a hide a far more pleasant experience than the bitter cold North European winters. The terrible heat haze of high summer has also disappeared, giving far higher shutter speeds, making images taken in brilliant light and clear air far sharper than in the drab, cold light of the UK.

I can now offer courses in wildlife photography, operating from my pre-positioned hides, for Raptors,  Bustards, Sandgrouse, Waders, or Cranes, or if you have a special subject interest i have a vast knowledge of local sites where i can position hides ready for your arrival. Summer is best for the sheer number of Raptors at sites i have pre-baited, and Winter for the incredible flocks of Cranes, 60,000+  over winter here.

If you have any particular bird you wish to photograph, i can advise you on the best times here to ensure prime results, and also on the most appropriate cameras and lenses etc.

Transferring your images to either CD or portable hard drive, negating the need for lots of camera cards, is also part of the service.

Courses and accomodation can be tailored to your individual wants and needs.
